6th Aegean Analytical Chemistry DaysWelcome to the 6th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days
International Conference
The aim of the ‘6th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days’ conferences has always been to bring together the analytical chemists from Aegean Countries. Since the first event in Izmir, Turkey in 1998, many analytical chemists from countries outside the Aegean region also have traveled to join these conferences, which are held once every two years. In fact, the statistical distribution of participants in the previous five meetings shows that the AACD conferences have become an international event, rather than a regional one.
The 6th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days (AACD-2008) will be organised and co-ordinated by Pamukkale University in Denizli, Turkey. It will be held on 9-12 October 2008, in the town of Karahayit, 5 km north of Pamukkale, which is world-famous for its unique and beautiful travertine formations. Karahayit is close to important ancient sites such as Hierapolis, Laodikeia and Tripolis and has thermal springs with a special red-coloured, naturally hot water.
We, as the organization commitee, will strive to make sure that this conference in Karahayit-Pamukkale, Denizli, is in keeping with the high standards of the previous meetings. We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 6th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days and enjoy with us the stimulating scientific programme and a wonderful experience in the cultural and natural heritage of Pamukkale, one of the most historical and charming areas in the world.
